Over the sea to Skye

Stewart, Sally, 1930-2007
Large Print
When restless Canadian Iain Macrae finds a bundle of letters from a distant Scottish relative while sorting through his father's effects, he's intrigued and plans a visit. But Iain is determined not to let his family's past affect his own future: a short visit and then he'll head for home, wherever that is... Meanwhile, troubled Louise Maitland has been forced to reconsider her entire future. After the tragic death of her brother, Louise must leave behind her carefree London life to look after his grief-stricken children, Jamie and Fee, on the Isle of Skye. Fate conspires to throw Iain and Louise together, and before long, Iain finds himself deeply involved in the lives of the Maitland family. And when the shady Sir James Guthrie threatens the peaceful way of life on Skye with plans to build a luxury hotel and golf course, Iain finally realizes that this enchanting island - and the beautiful Louise - just might provide the home he's been longing for, if only he can stop the developers and convince Louise that she's the only woman for him.
