The story of Yugoslav West Australians who left Australia to rebuild a war-torn Yugoslavia. It follows the voyages of the SS Partizanka and the SS Radnik and the social and economic realities the migrants faced in post-war Yugoslavia. This book documents their adaptation and ultimate disillusionment in a country that was strange and unfamiliar. These migrants returned to Australia with other post-war migrants and resumed their lives economically poorer but culturally enriched by the experience.
