Nidja beeliar boodjar noonookurt nyininy : a Nyungar interpretive history of the use of boodjar (country) in the vicinity of Murdoch University

Collard, Leonard, authorEnglish
This project researched and developed a Nyungar interpretive history encompassing both traditional and contemporary events with a particular focus on land currently occupied by Murdoch University and its surrounds in Perth, Western Australia. Nyungar worldviews, theories or ideologies have existed for over 40,000 years, however, our existence has largely been ignored by many social scientists focusing on Aboriginal experiences. As a group of Nyungar proposing this study of Nyungar and other experiences it was important to us to recognise the existence of Nyungar theories, attitudes, values, beliefs and ways of how to use these notions as starting points for research projects.
